Wind Up Radio - Portable DAB Radio with Bluetooth - Solar & Battery

The Terrabound Wind Up Radio is a portable DAB radio and FM radio for the next power cut. When the lights, the internet and the phone signal go, it keeps the local news, a light and a top-up for your phone going from one rugged box.

Charge the built-in 5000 mAh battery by USB-C before you put it away and it is ready to play. On a windowsill the solar panel tops it up in daylight, the hand crank is there as an emergency boost, and three AAA batteries in the back run it if the built-in battery is ever flat. DAB+ and FM sit side by side, so if one network drops during a power cut you can switch to the other.

Most wind up radios let people down because the battery is flat on the one night it is needed. Top this one up by USB-C every few months, keep three AAAs in the drawer, and it stays ready for the next power cut. Between storms it earns its place in the shed, the garden and the tent as a Bluetooth speaker with its own torch.

Key Features:

• DAB+ and FM radio with a telescopic antenna, so you can switch networks if one drops during a power cut.
• Built-in 5000 mAh battery charges by USB-C and keeps the radio ready to play without a plug.
• Solar panel and hand crank add charge when the mains is off, with three AAA batteries as a backup supply.
• USB output gives your phone an emergency top-up from the charged radio battery.
• Fold-up 5 LED reading light lights the whole table, and the end torch lights the way to the fuse box.
• SOS button sounds an alarm, and Bluetooth turns the radio into a speaker for the shed, garden or tent.
• Rubber-framed body in bright orange is easy to find in a dark cupboard and measures 19 x 12 x 8 cm.

Terrabound makes practical kit for days outside and for the nights the power goes off. Keep it in the kitchen drawer, the grab bag or the shed, where you can find it in the dark.

Pair it with one of our rechargeable head torches for hands-free light when the power is out.
