The Terrabound Trekking Poles are collapsible aluminium walking poles with lever locks and a cork grip, made for hill walks, muddy footpaths and steep descents. Flip the two levers, slide the pole to your height and snap them shut, and the length stays where you set it.
Each pole has three telescopic aluminium sections that adjust from 65 to 135 cm, a contoured cork top grip with an extended foam grip below it, and a padded wrist strap. The pointed tip bites into mud, grass and rock, and a removable rubber cap fits over it for pavements and tarmac.
On the way down, planted poles give you extra points of contact on wet rock and loose stones, so you get steady footing on steep and slippery ground. On the way up, shorten them or hold the lower foam grip and keep climbing without stopping to readjust.
