Description
The Terrabound SOS Emergency Radio is a small hand crank radio with AM and FM, a torch and a loud SOS alarm. When the power and the phone signal go, it keeps the local news coming, lights the way and makes sure you can be heard, from a radio small enough for the grab bag.
The built-in 2000 mAh battery charges by USB-C and shows its charge on four small lights in the dial window, so you can check it before a storm. The solar panel on top adds charge on a windowsill or a dashboard, and the fold-out hand crank is there as an emergency boost when nothing else is left. A rubber frame runs all the way round and a rubber flap covers the charging ports.
Press the yellow SOS button and it sounds a 115 dB siren with a flashing light, so people can find you if you are stuck, hurt or trapped. At about 15 x 7 x 4 cm with a wrist strap, it goes in the grab bag, the glovebox or the kitchen drawer and gives you news, light and a way to call for help in one small radio.
