The Terrabound Men's Cycling Shorts are mid-thigh compression half tights built around a five-pocket carry system. A mesh-backed pocket across the lower back takes a water bottle lying flat, divided slots along the waistband hold your energy gels upright and apart, and there is an open phone pocket on each outer thigh. Two hours out and everything you need is already on you.

These are unpadded, with no chamois insert, so they work as a standalone summer short, as a base layer under baggy mountain bike shorts, and under walking trousers off the bike. Skin-tight stretch construction through the hip, glute and thigh cuts down the muscle movement that builds up over a long ride, while flatlock seams and a contoured gusset keep every join lying flat against the skin. A wide flat elasticated waistband carries the load where it does not bounce, and laser-cut perforated venting on the lower outer thigh moves air through the hottest part of the leg.
