The Terrabound Half Zip Fleece is a high-loft fleece jumper built for the part of a walk where the temperature keeps changing. It has a zip at the throat rather than a full-length one, so you can dump heat on the climb without stopping to take anything off, and a standing collar that covers the strip of neck a crew neck leaves open to the wind.
The face is knitted in fine horizontal ribs with lighter slubs spun through it, and the inside of the collar is deep brushed pile. A quilted panel, stitched in a diamond grid, is bonded to the fleece inside the body, and a slick woven tape binds each shoulder seam so nothing ridges up under a rucksack strap.
From the walk in to the stop at the top, and from a campsite morning to the walk back through town, it is one layer that covers both ends of the temperature swing.

One thing we will not tell you is how warm it is in degrees. The supplier quotes a figure and there is no test behind it, so we have left it out rather than repeat it. What we can tell you is what it is made of and how it is built, which is above, and you can judge the rest from the weight of a high-loft fleece.
Terrabound builds practical outdoor kit for people who spend real time outside rather than posing in it. Pair it with our Men's Walking Boots for the days the path turns to mud.
