The polyester microfleece has a smooth knit face and a brushed inside, so it slides under a shell instead of gripping it, and it breathes when you are moving. A full-length zip runs up to a stand collar, the sleeves are raglan cut for easy movement, and the cuffs are elasticated to keep the draught out.

From the dog walk and the school run to a weekend on the hills, it is one light fleece for the whole day. It is not windproof or waterproof, so when the wind gets up wear it under your shell.
