Women's Rain Trousers - Reflective Trousers with Zip Pockets

These women's rain trousers are a light woven shell you pull on over what you are already wearing, so the mud and spray from a wet walk land on them rather than on your jeans. An elasticated drawcord waist, two zip side pockets, a reflective strip down each lower leg and a hook-and-loop tab at each ankle take care of the details that cheap rain trousers tend to get wrong.

The fabric is a single layer of 100% woven polyester, cut with a straight, loose leg that leaves room over leggings or a light pair of trousers. We have not had the fabric tested or rated, so we do not call them waterproof, and we would rather tell you now than have you find out in a downpour. Think of them as a light shell between your clothes and the weather, not a storm layer for the hills.

For the morning dog walk, the ride home on a dark evening or a weekend footpath, they give you one layer to pull on at the door and peel off when you get back. Close the ankle tabs over your boots and the hems stay out of the puddles and away from the bike chain.
