Emergency Radio - 12000mAh Power Bank - Solar Hand Crank AM FM Radio

This rechargeable emergency radio with a 12000mAh power bank keeps your phone charged, the table lit and the local news on when a power outage goes on for hours or days. It is an AM/FM hand crank radio, a reading lamp and a flashlight in one box with a carry handle, built round a battery big enough to matter.

Charge the 12000mAh battery by USB-C before you put it away, which takes about 3.5 hours, and the four-step gauge on the display shows it is ready. When the power is out, a USB-A port tops up your phone from that stored charge, the two solar panels fold out to catch daylight on a windowsill, and the hand crank adds a little more in an emergency.

The usual let-down with a hand crank radio is a small battery that is flat on the night it is needed, or that gives a phone one per cent. This one carries 12000mAh and shows you how much is left, so you start the night with light, news and a phone that stays on. Lift the lid and the reading lamp on its underside lights the kitchen table, and the end flashlight lights the way to the breaker box or the tent.

• AM/FM radio with auto scan and a digital display brings in local news and travel updates without the internet.
