Women's Walking Trousers - Wide Leg Elasticated Waist Hiking Trousers

These are women's wide leg walking trousers cut deliberately loose, for anyone who has spent a day pulling slim technical trousers off the back of their knee. The leg falls straight and wide from a fully elasticated waist, so nothing grips the thigh on a climb and nothing needs adjusting at the top of it. They come in nine colours and in sizes S to 3XL.

The waistband is elasticated the whole way round with an external drawcord and a front toggle, so they stay up without a belt. Chevron seam panels are set across each thigh and again below the knee, which is what lets the fabric bend where your leg bends rather than pulling against it.

Wear them on the towpath, over stiles, on a long day in the hills or for the walk to the shops afterwards. A cord and toggle at each ankle closes the leg when the path turns muddy and opens it again when it does not, so one pair covers a warm afternoon and a wet one.
