Description
The Terrabound Cushioned Outdoor Socks are crew-height walking socks built around the two things that actually cause blisters, friction and a sock that will not stay put. A dense terry loop pile runs under the sole and up the shin, and an elastic band across the arch grips the sock to your foot so it cannot slide inside your boot.
They are knitted on a 144-needle machine at 73g a pair, with a contoured heel pocket that sits on the heel instead of creeping down, a ribbed elastic cuff that holds above the boot line, and a cushioned shin panel where a boot collar presses hardest on a descent.
From a full day on the hills to the walk to the shops in winter, these are the pair you stop thinking about once they are on, and they come in eleven colours so the whole drawer can match.
Key Features:
- Elastic arch band grips the sock to the midfoot so it cannot slide down inside your boot and start rubbing.
- Dense terry loop cushioning runs the full length of the sole for padding underfoot on stony ground and long descents.
- Cushioned shin panel takes the pressure where a boot collar presses hardest on the way downhill.
- Contoured heel pocket keeps the heel cup sitting on your heel rather than creeping into your shoe.
- Ribbed elastic cuff holds the sock above the boot line all day without digging into your calf.
- Crew height covers above the boot collar so the boot meets fabric instead of bare ankle.
- Available in eleven colours across two sizes, so one pair works for anyone in the house.
Terrabound builds practical outdoor kit for people who would rather sort the problem than carry plasters. Socks are the cheapest upgrade you can make to a pair of boots you already own.
Pair them with our Men's Hiking Boots or the Women's Hiking Shoes for a set-up that works from the first mile.
