Description
This women's sun hat is a wide brim safari hat in soft washed cotton, made to keep the sun off your face, ears and the back of your neck on long days outside. A 7.5 cm brim runs all the way round, so the parting, ears and neck that a cap leaves in the sun sit in the shade instead.
The braided chin cord has a toggle you slide up under your chin when the breeze picks up on the coast or a ridge, and let hang loose when it drops. Brass press-studs on both sides of the brim let you snap a side up to the crown for a clearer view, and a brass air vent in the striped band lets warm air out of the crown. It is unlined and soft enough to fold into a rucksack or beach bag.
Whether it is a coastal walk, a morning on the allotment or a week in the sun abroad, it gives you wide shade that stays on in the breeze. It fits heads from 54 to 58 cm, so measure round your forehead before you order.
