The Terrabound Merino Wool Knee High Socks are unisex long wool socks for boots, knitted from 80 per cent merino wool in a fine rib that runs from the toe to just below the knee. The merino is spun from a fine 19.5 micron fibre, which is soft enough to wear against bare skin all day without the scratch of ordinary wool. The leg is 35cm long and the rib stretches to fit a calf from 29cm to 40cm, so it holds the sock up by gripping the leg rather than with a tight elastic band. The toe is joined by hand, so there is no ridge across the top of your toes.

The knit is fine enough to slide into fitted ankle boots, knee boots and walking boots without making them tight. Wool insulates by trapping air in its own crimp and keeps doing it when damp, which is where a cotton knee sock goes cold.
